You see as a child, my parents abandoned me at an early age, and I was put into an orphanage. Sometimes the panic attacks would be so bad that I felt paralyzed. Through my own journey, I have learned tools to reduce worry, stress, and racing thoughts.

Dealing With Anxiety Symptoms
Sometimes we can become so nervous with racing thoughts through our minds that it can be difficult to even just think. Whether it’s PTSD, OCD, or social anxiety – emotions can easily become overwhelmed. Insomnia is a common byproduct of excessive worry. That’s why it’s a good idea to learn skills that will help you remain calm. According to the U.S. Department of Human Services there are several types of anxiety disorders:
- Generalized Anxiety Disorder
- Social Phobia
- And Panic Disorder.
PTSD has been moved from an anxiety disorder to Trauma in the DSM 5.
OCD was also moved from an anxiety disorder to a Obsessive and Compulsive Related Disorders.
