Welcome to Anxiety Therapist Podcast

Have you become your own anxiety expert? Perhaps you have researched anxiety cures, leaving you yearning to find more information. Well, the truth is that anxiety sufferers can learn tools that have the potential to help them feel better. There isn’t always a magic bullet. The idea is there are steps you can take to reduce those anxious feelings.

There was a time in my life where I constantly searched for anxiety cures because of my own difficult past. You see as a child, my parents abandoned me at an early age, and I was put into an orphanage. Sometimes the panic attacks would be so bad that I felt paralyzed. Through my own journey, I have learned tools to reduce worry, stress, and racing thoughts.

As a cognitive behavioral therapist (CBT) I enjoy sharing information that people can use in their everyday lives. Thank you for visiting this site. I am so glad you stopped by.

Dealing With Anxiety Symptoms

Sometimes we can become so nervous with racing thoughts through our minds that it can be difficult to even just think. Whether it’s PTSD, OCD, or social anxiety – emotions can easily become overwhelmed. Insomnia is a common byproduct of excessive worry. That’s why it’s a good idea to learn skills that will help you remain calm. According to the U.S. Department of Human Services there are several types of anxiety disorders:

  • Generalized Anxiety Disorder
  • Social Phobia
  • And Panic Disorder.

PTSD has been moved from an anxiety disorder to Trauma in the DSM 5. 

OCD was also moved from an anxiety disorder to a Obsessive and Compulsive Related Disorders. 

Show host Frank is a psychotherapist who has experienced is own share of emotional hardship. He is also a board-certified clinical hypnotherapist and personal fitness trainer.
